Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Bateau Bay in 2021 compared to Budgewoi - Halekulani - Buff Point shows that there was a higher proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a similar proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 28.6% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 13.1% were one-parent families, compared with 21.0% and 13.4% respectively for Budgewoi - Halekulani - Buff Point.
