Analysis of the household/family types in Valleys in 2021 compared to the Narara Valley District shows that there was a higher proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a lower proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 40.4% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 8.1% were one-parent families, compared with 31.9% and 13.5% respectively for the Narara Valley District.
There were a lower proportion of lone person households and a higher proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 11.1% compared to 23.5% in the Narara Valley District while the proportion of couples without children was 32.0% compared to 24.4% in the Narara Valley District.

The number of households in Valleys increased by 45 between 2016 and 2021.
