Dominant groups
Analysis of the male five year age groups of Wyong, Warnervale and Gorokan in 2021 compared to the Gorokan District shows that there was a higher proportion of males in the younger age groups (under 15) and a lower proportion of males in the older age groups (65+).
Overall, 21.0% of the male population was aged between 0 and 15, and 17.3% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 18.6% and 21.0% respectively for the Gorokan District.
The major differences between the male age structure of Wyong, Warnervale and Gorokan and the Gorokan District were:
- A larger percentage of males aged 10 to 14 (7.3% compared to 6.2%)
- A smaller percentage of males aged 65 to 69 (4.9% compared to 5.9%)

The largest changes in male age structure in this area between 1996 and 2021 were in the age groups:
- 15 to 19 (+1,031 males)
- 55 to 59 (+1,021 males)
- 50 to 54 (+986 males)
- 10 to 14 (+918 males)
