Dominant groups
Analysis of the female five year age groups of Mountains and Valleys in 2021 compared to Gosford - West Gosford shows that there was a higher proportion of females in the younger age groups (under 15) and a similar proportion of females in the older age groups (65+).
Overall, 15.1% of the female population was aged between 0 and 15, and 18.4% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 11.0% and 18.5% respectively for Gosford - West Gosford.
The major differences between the female age structure of Mountains and Valleys and Gosford - West Gosford were:

The largest changes in female age structure in this area between 2011 and 2021 were in the age groups:
- 40 to 44 (-117 females)
- 70 to 74 (+103 females)
- 5 to 9 (-90 females)
- 75 to 79 (+85 females)
