Dominant groups
Analysis of the family blending in the San Remo - Budgewoi District in 2021 compared to the Wyong District shows that there was a higher proportion of step families as well as a higher proportion of blended families. Overall, 13.9% of total couple families with children were step families, and 8.2% were blended families, compared with 11.2% and 6.6% respectively for the Wyong District.
There were a similar proportion of other families and a lower proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of other families was 0.8% compared to 1.2% in the Wyong District while the proportion of intact families was 77.2% compared to 81.0% in the Wyong District.
