Analysis of the types of dwellings in the Southern Lakes District in 2021 shows that 89.3% of all dwellings were separate houses; 10.5% were medium density dwellings, and 0% were in high density dwellings, compared with 76.4%, 18.1%, and 4.5% in the Central Coast Council area respectively.
In 2021, a total of 95.6% of the dwellings in the Southern Lakes District were occupied on Census night, compared to 90.4% in Central Coast Council area. The proportion of unoccupied dwellings was 4.3%, which is smaller compared to that found in Central Coast Council area (9.5%).
