Dominant groups

Analysis of the need for assistance of males in Central Coast NSW compared to Central Coast Council area shows that there was a similar proportion of males who reported needing assistance with core activities.

Overall, 6.5% of the male population reported needing assistance with core activities, compared with 6.9% for Central Coast Council area.

The major differences in the male age groups reporting a need for assistance in The Entrance Ward and Central Coast Council area were:

  • A smaller percentage of males aged 75 to 79 (12.7% compared to 14.5%)
  • A smaller percentage of males aged 60 to 64 (5.8% compared to 6.9%)

Emerging groups

The major differences in the male age groups reporting a need for assistance between 2016 and 2021 in The Entrance Ward were in the age groups:
