Dominant groups
Analysis of the need for assistance of people in Central Coast NSW compared to Lake Munmorah - Chain Valley Bay shows that there was a higher proportion of people who reported needing assistance with core activities.
Overall, 10.1% of the population reported needing assistance with core activities, compared with 9.1% for Lake Munmorah - Chain Valley Bay.
The major differences in the age groups reporting a need for assistance in Erina and Lake Munmorah - Chain Valley Bay were:
- A smaller percentage of persons aged 70 to 74 (8.2% compared to 13.0%)
- A smaller percentage of persons aged 5 to 9 (3.9% compared to 8.0%)
- A smaller percentage of persons aged 75 to 79 (10.8% compared to 13.9%)
- A smaller percentage of persons aged 85 and over (28.9% compared to 31.7%)
