Dominant groups
Analysis of the need for assistance of people in Central Coast NSW compared to Budgewoi Ward shows that there was a similar proportion of people who reported needing assistance with core activities.
Overall, 8.1% of the population reported needing assistance with core activities, compared with 8.6% for Budgewoi Ward.
The major differences in the age groups reporting a need for assistance in Wyong, Warnervale and Gorokan and Budgewoi Ward were:
- A larger percentage of persons aged 75 to 79 (18.9% compared to 17.1%)
- A larger percentage of persons aged 60 to 64 (9.8% compared to 8.6%)
- A smaller percentage of persons aged 85 and over (41.8% compared to 43.6%)
- A smaller percentage of persons aged 80 to 84 (26.3% compared to 27.5%)
Emerging groups
The major differences in the age groups reporting a need for assistance between 2016 and 2021 in Wyong, Warnervale and Gorokan were in the age groups:

- 20 to 59 (+184 persons)
