Analysis of the car ownership of people born in Greece in the City of Yarra in 2021 compared to Greater Melbourne shows that 66.4% of people born in Greece were in households that owned at least one car, while 31.9% did not, compared with 86.6% and 12.3% respectively in Greater Melbourne.
Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a larger proportion that owned just one car; a smaller proportion owned two cars; and a smaller proportion that owned three cars or more.
Overall, 44.2% of people born in Greece were in households that owned one car; 17.3% owned two cars; and 5.0% owned three cars or more, compared with 39.4%; 30.1% and 17.1% respectively for Greater Melbourne.
