Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in North Richmond in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (800 females or 18.9%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (684 females or 16.1%)
  • Education and Training (418 females or 9.9%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,902 females in total or 44.8% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Greater Melbourne employed 21.7% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 8.8% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 13.0% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of North Richmond and Greater Melbourne were:
