Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Abbotsford in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (1,095 people or 17.6%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (853 people or 13.7%)
  • Education and Training (517 people or 8.3%)

In combination, these three industries employed 2,465 people in total or 39.6% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Fitzroy North employed 20.1% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; 14.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 10.8% in Education and Training.
