Employment status
1,576 people living in Old Reynella in 2016 were employed, of which 60% worked full-time and 36% part-time.

The size of Old Reynella's labour force in 2016 was 1,681, of which 561 were employed part-time and 945 were full time workers.
Analysis of the employment status (as a percentage of the labour force) in Old Reynella in 2016 compared to Reynella East shows that there was a higher proportion in employment, and a lower proportion unemployed. Overall, 93.8% of the labour force was employed, and 6.2% unemployed, compared with 92.8% and 7.2% respectively for Reynella East.
