1,298 people living in Moana in 2016 were employed, of which 57% worked full-time and 37% part-time.

The size of Moana's labour force in 2016 was 1,385, of which 486 were employed part-time and 737 were full time workers.
Analysis of the employment status (as a percentage of the labour force) in Moana in 2016 compared to Maslin Beach shows that there was a higher proportion in employment, and a lower proportion unemployed. Overall, 93.7% of the labour force was employed, and 6.3% unemployed, compared with 92.7% and 7.3% respectively for Maslin Beach.
