There were more female professionals in Springfield in 2016 than any other occupation.

Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Springfield in 2016 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (250 females or 26.3%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (213 females or 22.4%)
- Community and Personal Service Workers (154 females or 16.2%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 617 females in total or 64.9% of the employed female resident population.
In comparison, Central Coast Council area employed 22.7% in Professionals; 22.3% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 18.1% in Community and Personal Service Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Springfield and Central Coast Council area were:
- A larger percentage of females employed as Professionals (26.3% compared to 22.7%)
