There were more male professionals in Coastal District in 2016 than any other occupation.

Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Coastal District in 2016 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (2,060 males or 24.0%)
- Technicians and Trades Workers (1,913 males or 22.3%)
- Managers (1,631 males or 19.0%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 5,604 males in total or 65.2% of the employed male resident population.
In comparison, Peninsula District employed 14.1% in Professionals; 25.6% in Technicians and Trades Workers; and 11.9% in Managers.
