Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in West Brisbane Water and Peninsula in 2016 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Health Care and Social Assistance (3,104 people or 15.2%)
- Construction (2,178 people or 10.7%)
- Retail Trade (2,164 people or 10.6%)
In combination, these three industries employed 7,446 people in total or 36.4% of the total employed resident population.
In comparison, Central Coast Council area employed 15.3% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 11.3% in Construction; and 11.1% in Retail Trade.
