2,839 people living in Green Point in 2016 were employed, of which 58% worked full-time and 37% part-time.

The size of Green Point's labour force in 2016 was 3,024, of which 1,042 were employed part-time and 1,647 were full time workers.
Analysis of the employment status (as a percentage of the labour force) in Green Point in 2016 compared to The Entrance District shows that there was a higher proportion in employment, and a lower proportion unemployed. Overall, 93.9% of the labour force was employed, and 6.1% unemployed, compared with 93.0% and 7.0% respectively for The Entrance District.
