The three largest ancestries in Belfield in 2016 were Lebanese, Italian and Australian.

Dominant groups

Analysis of the ancestry responses of the population in Belfield in 2016 shows that the top five ancestries nominated were:

  • Lebanese (833 people or 17.0%)
  • Italian (647 people or 13.2%)
  • Australian (644 people or 13.1%)
  • Chinese (578 people or 11.8%)
  • English (528 people or 10.8%)

In combination these five ancestries account for 3,230 responses in total, or 65.85% of all responses.

The major differences between the ancestries of the population in Belfield and City of Canterbury Bankstown were:
