The three largest ancestries in Bankstown Balance in 2016 were Vietnamese, Lebanese and Chinese.

Dominant groups

Analysis of the ancestry responses of the population in Bankstown Balance in 2016 shows that the top five ancestries nominated were:

  • Vietnamese (3,185 people or 24.1%)
  • Lebanese (2,525 people or 19.1%)
  • Chinese (1,249 people or 9.4%)
  • Australian (1,068 people or 8.1%)
  • English (883 people or 6.7%)
