Dominant groups
Analysis of the ancestry responses of the population in Old Reynella in 2016 shows that the top five ancestries nominated were:

- Australian (1,314 people or 38.8%)
- Scottish (325 people or 9.6%)
- Irish (308 people or 9.1%)
