Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in City of Maroondah in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (15,617 people or 26.5%)
  • Technicians and Trades Workers (8,179 people or 13.9%)
  • Managers (8,009 people or 13.6%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 31,805 people in total or 53.9% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, Greater Melbourne employed 26.8% in Professionals; 12.1% in Technicians and Trades Workers; and 13.8% in Managers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of the City of Maroondah and Greater Melbourne were:
