Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Croydon in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (3,535 people or 25.3%)
- Technicians and Trades Workers (2,004 people or 14.3%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (1,824 people or 13.1%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 7,363 people in total or 52.7% of the employed resident population.
In comparison, the City of Maroondah employed 26.5% in Professionals; 13.9% in Technicians and Trades Workers; and 13.6% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Croydon and the City of Maroondah were:
- A larger percentage of persons employed as Labourers (8.6% compared to 7.4%)
