Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Ringwood in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (2,825 people or 28.5%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (1,331 people or 13.4%)
  • Managers (1,291 people or 13.0%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 5,447 people in total or 54.9% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, the City of Maroondah employed 26.5% in Professionals; 13.6% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 13.6% in Managers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Ringwood and the City of Maroondah were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed as Professionals (28.5% compared to 26.5%)
