Dominant groups
In 2021, there were 2,576 people who caught public transport to work (train, bus, tram or ferry) in Canterbury Ward, compared with 9,986 who drove in private vehicles (car – as driver, car – as passenger, motorbike, or truck).
Analysis of the method of travel to work of the residents in Canterbury Ward in 2021, compared to the City of Canterbury Bankstown, shows that 8.0% used public transport, while 30.1% used a private vehicle, compared with 6.1% and 39.3% respectively in the City of Canterbury Bankstown.
The major differences in persons between the method of travel to work of Canterbury Ward and the City of Canterbury Bankstown were:
