Dominant groups

Analysis of the need for assistance of people in City of Canterbury Bankstown compared to Canterbury Ward shows that there was a higher proportion of people who reported needing assistance with core activities.

Overall, 6.6% of the population reported needing assistance with core activities, compared with 6.0% for Canterbury Ward.

The major differences in the age groups reporting a need for assistance in Belfield and Canterbury Ward were:

  • A larger percentage of persons aged 65 to 69 (16.2% compared to 10.3%)
