Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Belmore in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (717 people or 13.9%)
  • Retail Trade (531 people or 10.3%)
  • Construction (418 people or 8.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,666 people in total or 32.3% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, the City of Canterbury Bankstown employed 13.0% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 10.2% in Retail Trade; and 8.2% in Construction.
