Dominant groups

Analysis of individual income levels in The Hills Shire in 2021 compared to Greater Sydney shows that there was a higher proportion of people earning a high income (those earning $2,000 per week or more) and a lower proportion of low income people (those earning less than $500 per week).

Overall, 22.1% of the population earned a high income, and 29.8% earned a low income, compared with 15.9% and 30.9% respectively for Greater Sydney.

The major differences between The Hills Shire's individual incomes and Greater Sydney's individual incomes were:
