Dominant groups

Analysis of the service age groups of Ringwood in 2021 compared to Bayswater North shows that there was a lower proportion of people in the younger age groups (0 to 17 years) and a similar proportion of people in the older age groups (60+ years).

Overall, 20.4% of the population was aged between 0 and 17, and 21.3% were aged 60 years and over, compared with 21.9% and 21.8% respectively for Bayswater North.

The major differences between the age structure of Ringwood and Bayswater North were:

  • A larger percentage of 'Young workforce' (16.6% compared to 15.0%)
  • A larger percentage of 'Seniors' (9.4% compared to 8.2%)
