Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Ringwood East in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (703 females or 26.5%)
  • Education and Training (389 females or 14.7%)
  • Retail Trade (273 females or 10.3%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,365 females in total or 51.5% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Croydon South employed 24.6% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 14.8% in Education and Training; and 11.1% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Ringwood East and Croydon South were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in health care and social assistance (26.5% compared to 24.6%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed in professional, scientific and technical services (8.8% compared to 7.4%)
