Dominant groups
In 2021, there were 686 males who caught public transport to work (train, bus, tram or ferry) in Bankstown Ward, compared with 6,808 who drove in private vehicles (car – as driver, car – as passenger, motorbike, or truck).
Analysis of the method of travel to work of the male residents in Bankstown Ward in 2021, compared to Hurlstone Park, shows that 5.2% used public transport, while 50.1% used a private vehicle, compared with 6.1% and 22.3% respectively in Hurlstone Park.
The major differences in males between the method of travel to work of Bankstown Ward and Hurlstone Park were:
