Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Ashbury in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (218 males or 28.1%)
  • Managers (177 males or 22.8%)
  • Technicians and Trades Workers (113 males or 14.5%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 508 males in total or 65.4% of the employed male resident population.

In comparison, Canterbury employed 26.9% in Professionals; 13.2% in Managers; and 16.9% in Technicians and Trades Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Ashbury and Canterbury were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed as Managers (22.8% compared to 13.2%)
