Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Picnic Point in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (270 males or 17.5%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (143 males or 9.3%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (131 males or 8.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 544 males in total or 35.3% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, the City of Canterbury Bankstown employed 13.0% in Construction; 7.9% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 10.9% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Picnic Point and the City of Canterbury Bankstown were:
