Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Lakemba in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (465 males or 14.9%)
  • Retail Trade (429 males or 13.7%)
  • Accommodation and Food Services (248 males or 7.9%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,142 males in total or 36.6% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, the City of Canterbury Bankstown employed 10.9% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing; 9.5% in Retail Trade; and 5.7% in Accommodation and Food Services.
