Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Ashbury in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (99 males or 12.7%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (93 males or 11.9%)
  • Financial and Insurance Services (58 males or 7.4%)

In combination, these three industries employed 250 males in total or 32.1% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, the City of Canterbury Bankstown employed 13.0% in Construction; 7.9% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 5.2% in Financial and Insurance Services.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Ashbury and the City of Canterbury Bankstown were:
