Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Villawood in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (78 males or 15.5%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (68 males or 13.5%)
  • Manufacturing (66 males or 13.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 212 males in total or 42.1% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Bass Hill Ward employed 14.6% in Construction; 11.7% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing; and 9.9% in Manufacturing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Villawood and Bass Hill Ward were:
