Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Ashbury in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Education and Training (151 females or 20.2%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (144 females or 19.3%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (83 females or 11.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 378 females in total or 50.6% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Riverwood employed 7.8% in Education and Training; 23.0% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 7.6% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Ashbury and Riverwood were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in education and training (20.2% compared to 7.8%)
