Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Roselands in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (375 males or 15.1%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (284 males or 11.4%)
  • Retail Trade (242 males or 9.7%)

In combination, these three industries employed 901 males in total or 36.3% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Hurlstone Park employed 9.1% in Construction; 6.4% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing; and 6.2% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Roselands and Hurlstone Park were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in construction (15.1% compared to 9.1%)
  • A larger percentage of males employed in transport, postal and warehousing (11.4% compared to 6.4%)
