Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Roselands in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (460 females or 20.0%)
  • Education and Training (302 females or 13.1%)
  • Retail Trade (279 females or 12.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,041 females in total or 45.2% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Belmore employed 21.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 11.9% in Education and Training; and 11.2% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Roselands and Belmore were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in transport, postal and warehousing (4.8% compared to 3.1%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed in education and training (13.1% compared to 11.9%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed in accommodation and food services (4.4% compared to 6.4%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed in health care and social assistance (20.0% compared to 21.9%)
