Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Punchbowl in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (837 people or 13.0%)
  • Retail Trade (789 people or 12.3%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (600 people or 9.3%)

In combination, these three industries employed 2,226 people in total or 34.6% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Belmore employed 13.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 10.3% in Retail Trade; and 7.6% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing.
