Dominant groups
Analysis of the need for assistance of people in City of Canterbury Bankstown compared to Condell Park - Bankstown Aerodrome shows that there was a lower proportion of people who reported needing assistance with core activities.
Overall, 4.3% of the population reported needing assistance with core activities, compared with 7.0% for Condell Park - Bankstown Aerodrome.
The major differences in the age groups reporting a need for assistance in Canterbury and Condell Park - Bankstown Aerodrome were:
- A smaller percentage of persons aged 60 to 64 (7.6% compared to 13.7%)
- A smaller percentage of persons aged 70 to 74 (16.9% compared to 20.8%)
- A smaller percentage of persons aged 75 to 79 (26.4% compared to 30.1%)
