Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Lockleys in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (204 males or 13.8%)
  • Retail Trade (136 males or 9.2%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (134 males or 9.0%)

In combination, these three industries employed 474 males in total or 32.0% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Cowandilla - Hilton employed 11.2% in Construction; 7.5% in Retail Trade; and 9.8% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Lockleys and Cowandilla - Hilton were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in construction (13.8% compared to 11.2%)
