Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in The Hills Shire in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (31,402 people or 32.5%)
- Managers (18,196 people or 18.9%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (14,436 people or 15.0%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 64,034 people in total or 66.4% of the employed resident population.
In comparison, Baulkham Hills employed 34.5% in Professionals; 16.3% in Managers; and 15.2% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the population of The Hills Shire and Baulkham Hills were:
- A larger percentage of persons employed as Managers (18.9% compared to 16.3%)
- A smaller percentage of persons employed as Professionals (32.5% compared to 34.5%)
