Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in North Rocks in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (304 males or 13.5%)
  • Construction (284 males or 12.6%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (184 males or 8.2%)

In combination, these three industries employed 772 males in total or 34.3% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, The Hills Shire employed 13.0% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; 14.0% in Construction; and 6.4% in Health Care and Social Assistance.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of North Rocks and The Hills Shire were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in health care and social assistance (8.2% compared to 6.4%)
