Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in North Rocks in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Health Care and Social Assistance (441 females or 21.0%)
- Education and Training (352 females or 16.8%)
- Retail Trade (226 females or 10.8%)
In combination, these three industries employed 1,019 females in total or 48.6% of the total employed female resident population.
In comparison, East Ward employed 20.5% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 14.3% in Education and Training; and 9.6% in Retail Trade.
The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of North Rocks and East Ward were:
- A larger percentage of females employed in education and training (16.8% compared to 14.3%)
- A larger percentage of females employed in retail trade (10.8% compared to 9.6%)
- A smaller percentage of females employed in professional, scientific and technical services (8.9% compared to 11.5%)
- A smaller percentage of females employed in financial and insurance services (6.2% compared to 8.1%)
Emerging groups
The number of employed females in North Rocks increased by 302 between 2016 and 2021.
The largest changes in the jobs held by the female resident population between 2016 and 2021 in North Rocks were for those employed in:
- Health Care and Social Assistance (+65 females)
- Retail Trade (+53 females)
