Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in North Rocks in 2021 compared to Norwest shows that there was a higher proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a higher proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 45.5% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 9.6% were one-parent families, compared with 28.5% and 8.4% respectively for Norwest.

There were a lower proportion of lone person households and a lower proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 14.1% compared to 21.2% in Norwest while the proportion of couples without children was 25.7% compared to 32.5% in Norwest.
