The three largest ancestries in Riverwood in 2021 were Chinese, Australian and English.

Dominant groups
Analysis of the ancestry responses of the population in Riverwood in 2021 shows that the top five ancestries nominated were:
- Chinese (2,163 people or 31.5%)
- Australian (759 people or 11.0%)
- English (688 people or 10.0%)
- Lebanese (500 people or 7.3%)
- Vietnamese (248 people or 3.6%)
