Dominant groups

Analysis of individual income levels in the Sydenham District in 2021 compared to the City of Brimbank shows that there was a higher proportion of people earning a high income (those earning $2,000 per week or more) and a lower proportion of low income people (those earning less than $500 per week).

Overall, 7.9% of the population earned a high income, and 39.0% earned a low income, compared with 5.8% and 41.1% respectively for the City of Brimbank.

The major differences between the Sydenham District's individual incomes and the City of Brimbank's individual incomes were:
