There were 97 people over the age of 85 living in Delahey in 2016, with largest age group being 20 to 24 year olds.

Dominant groups

Analysis of the five year age groups of Delahey in 2016 compared to City of Brimbank shows that there was a lower proportion of people in the younger age groups (under 15) as well as a lower proportion of people in the older age groups (65+).

Overall, 17.3% of the population was aged between 0 and 15, and 10.8% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 18.5% and 13.6% respectively for City of Brimbank.

The major differences between the age structure of Delahey and City of Brimbank were:
