Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Goodwood in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (191 females or 23.6%)
  • Education and Training (133 females or 16.4%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (88 females or 10.9%)

In combination, these three industries employed 412 females in total or 50.8% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Clarence Park employed 26.3% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 17.5% in Education and Training; and 8.7% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Goodwood and Clarence Park were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in public administration and safety (9.6% compared to 6.6%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed in professional, scientific and technical services (10.9% compared to 8.7%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed in health care and social assistance (23.6% compared to 26.3%)
